Finally starting to get to the more technical topics. As expected, I got distracted and found myself doing game engine development. Very briefly summarizing how I want to make a game with focus on multithreaded updates with rendering in parallel. Talk about the initial implementation which accomplishes this with code generation, with some tiny examples.
I also talk about the second, improved version along with brief talk about some challanges with tooling. As the episode is already quite long, I'm not going into the actual implementation details or demos. Maybe next time? And as expected, couldn't quite stick to the carefully constructed script, and some things could have been explained a bit better.
Recorded in-camera again. Still trying to find the best format for these videos, and as such trying out different camera settings. This time shot in 150 Mbit, ISO1250 4k 60 fps. Cropped to cinemascope as I have an ultrawide monitor, and I'm planning to mix camera and screencap material in the future. Trying to minimize color correction work to due to the lower bitrate, and to save time. Not quite happy on the quality, especially the noise. There's also some focusing issues, but this is as good as it gets with this camera. Continuing the work to improve audio work by applying speech volume leveler via Audition on the source material beforehand. Trying to improve acting and script following. But let's just say that we are not there yet.
